The Media Center at Brentwood School offers a wide range of books, computers, and reference materials for all ages.  Considered an extension of the classroom, the Media Center is where information on many subjects is available through both print and non-print resources.

Brentwood School integrates library lessons into course curriculum and on-going classroom activities, especially for students in kindergarten through 6th grade.  Lower School classes visit the library each week.  Grades 7-12 come to check out books, do research, or as a class to learn research techniques, including online research tools.

The Brentwood Library hosts two Scholastic Bookfairs each school year, one in the spring and fall.  The library is furnished with more than 14,000 books, periodicals, and audio-visual materials, seven computers, a scanner and a printer for student use. The computers have access to Internet and several on-line research tools, including encyclopedia and on-line research through GALILEO .

GALILEO stands for Georgia Library Learning Online, an initiative of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. A World Wide Web-based virtual library, GALILEO provides access to multiple information resources, including secured access to licensed products. Please contact ellen.rogers@brentwoodshool.org to receive a passcode.  Visit GALILEO by clicking here.
