In the second game of the day, versus First Presbyterian Christian, the Eagles built a 7-run lead before the Highlanders struck for 4 runs in the final inning. In the first inning a lead-off walk and stolen base by Jay Musselwhite was followed by a run scoring single by Will Ahrens and a RBI double by Chase Everett to account for 2 runs. The Eagles added a lone run in the second inning when Musselwhite hit a 2 out double and then raced home on a Highlander error. Musselwhite got things started again in the fourth frame drawing a base-on-balls, stole second base and scored for the third time on a single off the bat of Peyton Massengale. After reaching third base Peyton was driven home on a sacrifice fly by Tanner Gheesling. The final 2 tallies for Brentwood occurred in the bottom of the fifth inning resulting from a couple walks, a fielding error and a sacrifice fly by Schley Moore.
Evan Walden started on the bump for Brentwood picking up his third win of the season. Walden was in total command allowing no runs, 2 hits and1 free pass while fanning 7 over the first five innings. Tanner Gheesling pitched the final inning.
