Brentwood Athletics is an important part of the school's mission to prepare its students "to be well-rounded citizens." Since the school's founding, hundreds of Brentwood students have learned sportsmanship, dedication, loyalty, teamwork, personal responsibility, and leadership on the playing fields and courts of the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) and its predecessor, the Southeastern Association of Independent Schools (SEAIS).
Today nearly 80% of Brentwood's students participate in at least one of the school's 23 interscholastic athletic teams and receive valuable lessons in responsibility to their team(s), their school, and themselves.
A committment to excellence is supported by the school's administration, its faculty, coaches, parents, grandparents, alumni, and student-athletes. During the 2008-09 school term, Brentwood once again finished in the top 5 among GISA Class AA schools in the annual "all-sports" competition.
Brentwood's athletics program is dedicated to the development of the whole person -- mind, body, and spirit. Youngsters who experience the meaning of sportsmanship through athletic competition receive an understanding of life that will help shape their own personal philosophies and enhance their future lives.
