From Sandersville, take SR24 to Milledgeville. As you cross the Oconee River entering Milledgeville, SR22 will be common with SR24. You can either follow the SR22 signs through Milledgeville, Haddock, Gray, and on into Macon. Or, you can go straight through downtown Milledgeville, pass Georgia College & State University on your right, and follow the SR49 signs into Macon. SR49 becomes Shurling Drive as you enter the Macon area. You will need to turn left from SR49 (Shurling Drive) onto the Gray Highway (SR22, SR11, US129). You are now at a common point with those that chose the SR22 route through Gray. Continue on the Gray Highway (SR22, SR11, US129) for approximately 1 ½ miles to the I-16 interchange. Exit to the right (a McDonalds will be on your right). As you enter I-16, you have ½ mile to merge to your left to take the I-75 South exit. Please be careful in this ½ mile merging area. After you get on I-75 South, go approximately 65 miles on I-75 South, until you get to the SR300(Georgia-Florida Parkway) interchange which is located just south of Cordele. Exit from I-75 onto SR300(Georgia-Florida Parkway) and follow the signs toward Albany. As you are entering the outskirts of Albany, look for the Miller Brewing Company on your right. Immediately after passing the Miller Brewing Company, turn right at the red light onto Clark Avenue (which SR300/Ga-Fla Parkway will also do) then proceed on Clark Avenue for approximately one mile. Exit Clarke Avenue onto Liberty Expressway (follow the signs for US19 South-go under the bridge then turn right turn and follow the loop back up and around). You are still common with SR300 (Ga-Fla Parkway) at this point. Proceed straight on Liberty Expressway (US19 South) for approximately 2 miles until you get to the Moultrie Road (SR133/Sunbelt Parkway interchange). Exit from SR300 (US19 South/Ga-Fla Parkway/Liberty Expressway) onto SR133 (Moultrie Road) back towards Downtown Albany (not towards Moultrie). Proceed on Moultrie Road for approximately ¾ mile to where it forks. Take the left fork from SR133 (Moultrie Road) onto SR234 (Oakridge Drive). Proceed on Oakridge Drive for approximately 3 ¾ miles until you come to Old Pretoria Road on your left. (Note: While traveling on Oakridge Drive, you will cross the Flint River after about one mile, then cross Slappey Drive after 2 ½ miles. Also, SR234 turns right at Slappey Drive, but you need to stay on Oakridge Drive,) Turn left from Oakridge Drive onto Old Pretoria Road and proceed approximately 1 ½ miles down Old Pretoria Road. Sherwood Christian School will be on your left on Old Pretoria Road before you get to its intersection with Oak Haven Drive/Westover Blvd. Allow 3 ½ hours for travel time. |
