From Sandersville, take SR24 to Milledgeville. As you cross the Oconee River entering Milledgeville, SR22 will be common with SR24. You can either follow the SR22 signs through Milledgeville, Haddock, Gray, and on into Macon. Or, you can go straight through downtown Milledgeville, pass Georgia College & State University on your right, and follow the SR49 signs into Macon. SR49 becomes Shurling Drive as you enter the Macon area. You will need to turn left from SR49 (Shurling Drive) onto the Gray Highway (SR22, SR11, US129). You are now at a common point with those that chose the SR22 route through Gray. Continue on the Gray Highway (SR22, SR11, US129) for approximately 1 ½ miles to the I-16 interchange. Following US129/SR11/SR22/SR49, go straight under the I-16 bridges. You will now be on Spring Street. Cross the Ocmulgee River, then you come to the Riverside Drive intersection (red light); Turn right from Spring Street onto Riverside Drive and go approximately ½ mile to the College Street intersection(next street to your left following Orange Street). Turn left from Riverside Drive onto College Street. Proceed on College Street for approximately ¾ mile (you will pass through the intersections of Walnut Street, Georgia Avenue, Hardeman Avenue, and Forsyth Street). Turn left from College Street at the flashing beacon onto Appleton Avenue. Go ½ block on Appleton Avenue. MDS School & Gym is on your left. If you continue on Appleton Avenue for a full one block, you can turn left onto Columbus Street. Go ½ block on Columbus Street. You will see the Mount de Sales faculty parking lot on your left. Allow at least 1 ¼ hours for travel time.
